Start of Christmas

Start of Christmas

Last weekend, we kicked off the festive season with a visit to the Lighten Walk at Chester Zoo. It was a magical experience, with the zoo transformed into a winter wonderland. The illuminated trails, twinkling lights, and festive decorations created a truly enchanting atmosphere. We strolled through the beautifully lit pathways, enjoying the sight of the animals and the festive displays. It was a perfect way to start our Christmas celebrations.

Then, last Saturday, we continued our holiday preparations by getting our real Christmas tree from Roberts Farm in Kingswinford. The farm had a wonderful selection of trees, and we found the perfect one to bring home and decorate. There’s something special about having a real tree, with its fresh pine scent filling the house and adding to the festive spirit.

Unfortunately, we were due to go to a lantern walk at Trentham Gardens in Stoke-on-Trent, but the event has been cancelled due to severe weather warnings over the UK this weekend. It’s disappointing, but safety comes first. We’ll have to find another way to enjoy the festive season indoors and stay warm and safe.

Happy holidays, everyone! 🎄✨
